Angie Lennox Foot Health

There’s a new foot health practitioner in town! Take a look at Angie Lennox’s business profile…

Tell us a bit about yourself and where you trained: Originally from London, I’m now living in Leintwardine and absolutely love it. I’ve worked in social care for the last 20 years, which I enjoyed enormously, but more recently felt the time was right for me to set up as a foot health practitioner. I’ve just completed my level 4 diploma and clinical training, giving me a complete grounding in foot anatomy, care and diagnosis and providing me with the knowledge, information and support to establish a successful practice.

What foot care services do you offer? I offer toenail cutting and filing, removal of corns, callus, hard skin, athelete’s foot/veruccas, fungal nail testing, vascular and neuropathy testing. I can also apply paddings and dressings, for example for cracked heels and fissures.

What can we expect from a first visit? Initially we fill in a consent form and medical history notes. I then examine the feet and talk to you about your concerns, so we can decide on a treatment plan. As nails grow quite quickly, we may plan a 6 to 8 weekly visit, for example at home or at a care home. I will carry out my treatment and be with you as long as needed. I use sterile equipment with every client via an autoclav and ultra sonic cleaner. I finish all treatments with a nice, relaxing foot massage: you’ll feel like you’re walking on air!

Who can benefit from your services? We can all benefit from foot care – the foot is one of the most complex and neglected of body parts. Sometimes circumstances prevent people from looking after them; others have problems such as calluses, verrucas, flat feet and other structural defects that require special care. Others just love their feet being pampered. The earlier we start, the fewer problems we will have in the future.

Do you have a set price list for your services? I charge a flat rate of £35 per visit, with a free consultation. I offer a special couples rate of £60 per couple, and am happy to discuss a rate for group bookings. I travel within Ludlow, Shropshire and Herefordshire to treat feet in the comfort of your own home.
