River Wye Activity Centre

Introduce the business: We are an outdoor activity centre, campsite, café and events venue.

Where are you based? We’re based in Glasbury- on-Wye, on the old Glasbury House site.

Tell us about the activities you offer: We offer a wide range of water and land activities. From canoeing, kayaking, SUP, raft building, gorge walking to archery, axe throwing, abseiling and even have our own escape room at our centre in Glasbury!

Can individuals book your activities or are they just for school groups? Our activates are open to everyone and we welcome everyone on site, whether you’re staying with us, canoeing or just having an ice-cream!

What can you offer for local business / team building? We have highly experienced team, with years of experience in delivering team building events. Anyone local, who want to organise something, get in touch.We offer great rates for local businesses.

Tell us about your café: The Paddlers Rest Café is our on-site café. Serving breakfast rolls, light lunches, ice- creams, tea/coffee and home made cakes all day! We are also licensed to serve alcohol. New this year we have some of your favourite local food producers serving hot food in the evenings – pizza, kebabs, burgers, fish & chips. Keep an eye out on our social media for seasonal opening hours and event information.

Tell us about your campsite? We have a large campsite, offering peaceful pitches nestled between the trees. We have 8 EHU pitches and 4 bell tents with indoor wood burners, comfy double beds and cosy duvets!

Do you have any upcoming events or future plans? Lots! Over the Hay Festival period we have some live music in the evenings, bring the family along and enjoy the festival buzz! Glasbury Village Fete, Fireworks and Father Christmas will all be back again this year! Follow us on social media to be one of the first to hear all about it!
